Refunds

Our refund policy

Short, and written plainly, so you know the answer before you buy rather than after.

7 days, full refund, no reason needed

As long as you have practiced fewer than 3 stations, have not started a mock exam, and have not redeemed your course code.

The form takes a minute, tells you where you stand before you send it, and arrives with your purchase and usage already attached.

The short version

You have 7 days from payment to change your mind, as long as you have practiced fewer than 3 stations, have not started a mock exam, and have not redeemed your course code. If that is you, ask through your account page or write to cres@cresmd.co, and we refund you in full.

After that, or once you have used the product properly, the sale is final. Everything below is just this rule spelled out plan by plan, plus the cases where we refund you anyway.

One promise underneath all of it: we would rather give you your money back than have you stuck with something you cannot use. Nobody here benefits from an unhappy candidate three weeks before a sitting.

The 7-day window

The window starts the moment your payment goes through, not the day you first sign in. Ask inside it and meet the usage limits below and you get a full refund to the card or account you paid from, no reason needed and no argument from us.

We can see all of this on our side, so you do not need to prove anything or send screenshots. Just ask from the account you paid on, or write from the email address you paid with.

Seven days is not a technicality we are hoping you miss. It is the point at which most people know whether the simulated patient and the marking are what they wanted, and it is short enough that a term product has barely started.

Why there is a usage limit at all: every station you practice is a real conversation generated and marked in the moment, and it costs us to run whether or not you keep the plan. A refund after a dozen of them is asking us to have run them for free. The limit is the smallest one we could set and still let you look properly.

What counts as using it

Practice stations. Every station is a live conversation with a simulated patient, recorded and marked with evidence from your own transcript. Up to 2 of them is looking; 3 or more is using.

Mock exams. A mock is a full 12-station circuit with a whole-exam debrief. Starting even one is using the product, and it puts the purchase outside the window on its own. A mock is the single most expensive thing we run, which is why it counts differently from a practice station.

The course code. Combos and the September pass include a code that unlocks the full course on our course site. Once that code has been issued to you it is out of our hands and cannot be returned to the pool, so the course part of the purchase stops being refundable at that point. If you think you may want a refund, ask before you redeem it, not after.

Credits you have spent. Top-up credits are consumable, like minutes on a phone. An untouched pack comes back in full; a pack you have started does not, and we cannot refund the unused half of it either.

What does NOT count: signing in, reading the case list, watching a demo, browsing the course curriculum, or opening a station and leaving before the patient speaks. Looking around costs us nothing, so it costs you nothing.

Plan by plan

Monthly practice. Cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again; your access runs to the end of the month you already paid for. We do not refund part-months, because the month is already bought and the credits are already yours to spend. Your first month is refundable in full under the window above.

Annual practice, and the 3, 6 and 12 month bundles. Same window. After it you are not stuck for the rest of the term: see leaving part way through, below.

Course and practice combos (3, 6 and 12 month). Refundable in full inside the window if the course code has not been issued to you and you are under the station limit. If the course code has already gone out, the course is delivered and the sale is final.

September exam pass. Same window, with one exception: purchases made from September 1, 2026 onward are final, because at that point you are buying a short run-up to a fixed date and the whole value of it is delivered immediately.

Credit top-ups. Refundable inside the window only if the pack is completely unspent.

Course-only purchases. If you bought just the course on www.cresmd.co, that is a separate purchase on our course platform and the same rules apply: refundable inside the window if you have not worked through the material.

Bought a combo and only want to keep half of it? Say so. We cannot split a bundle after the course code has gone out, but before that we can usually move you onto the plan you actually wanted and return the difference, which is a better outcome for both of us than a refund and a lost candidate.

Leaving a 3, 6 or 12 month plan part way through

Life changes. You pass, you move, a job starts, money gets tight. You are not locked in for the rest of the term just because the window has closed, and you do not have to explain yourself to us to ask.

One rule decides the number, and it is the same rule every gym, phone contract and annual software plan uses: you keep the discount if you keep the term. The longer plans are cheaper per month because they are a commitment. If the commitment ends early, the months you actually had are re-priced at the ordinary monthly rate, which is the price anyone can pay without committing to anything, and everything past that comes back to you.

In practice: the months already gone are charged at $59 each, a part month counts as a whole one so there is nothing to argue about, and the unused remainder is refunded less a 20% early exit fee capped at $99. If your course code has already been issued, the course stays yours and its own list price comes off, because a course code cannot be handed back once it is spent.

Worked example, so there are no surprises. You bought the 12-month combo at $1,299, your course code went out, and you stop five months in. The course is yours to keep and is deducted at $549. Five months of practice are charged at $59 each, so $295. That leaves $455, less a $91 exit fee, and $364 comes back to you.

We are telling you the arithmetic before you buy rather than after you ask, because a rule you can check yourself is the only kind worth publishing. Nothing here can ever turn into a bill: if the sums come out at zero you owe us nothing, you simply get nothing back.

The fee is waived whenever the fault is ours, and it never applies inside the first seven days, where the refund is still the full amount with nothing deducted at all.

When the fault is ours

This is separate from the window and it has no time limit. If the simulated patient does not load, the video face fails, or a station cannot be marked, you should not pay for it. Credits for a failed video encounter are returned automatically, and if anything else goes wrong tell us and we will put the credits back by hand.

If a fault stops you using what you paid for and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, we refund the unused part of your term. You are never stuck paying for something that does not work.

Charged twice, or bought the wrong plan by accident? Tell us within 30 days and we refund the duplicate in full, used or not. That is our error to absorb, not yours.

Never received what you paid for, for example a course code that did not arrive or access that did not switch on? That is not a refund question at all in the first instance. Tell us and we will simply give you the thing you bought, usually the same day.

What we do not refund

Your exam result. AceOSCE is practice and feedback. It is not a guarantee of a pass, no honest product is, and a result is not grounds for a refund.

A change of mind after you have used the product. Practicing a dozen stations and then asking for the money back is asking us to have run them for free, and every one of them cost us to run.

Access that we ended for cause. Sharing a login, sharing or republishing station content, or trying to extract the question bank ends access with no refund. One person, one account.

Months you have already had. A term runs from the day you buy it whether you sign in or not, so months that have passed are bought whether or not you used them. What you can get back is the part of the term still ahead of you, under the section below.

A second refund on the same product. Buying again after a refund is a fresh start with the window already spent, because the first refund was the look.

How to ask for one

The fastest way is the refund form on your account page. It asks half a dozen questions with fixed answers, tells you honestly whether your case sits inside the policy before you send anything, and arrives with your purchase and usage already attached. There is nothing to prove and no screenshots to dig out.

You can also email cres@cresmd.co from the address you paid with. Tell us what you bought and when, and say in a line what went wrong. If you paid by Interac e-Transfer, include the address the transfer came from. Both routes reach the same person.

We answer within 3 business days, and a real person reads every one. Approved card refunds go back to the same card and usually appear within 10 business days depending on your bank. e-Transfer purchases are refunded by e-Transfer to the address that sent it.

If we say no, we will tell you which part of this policy it turned on, in plain words. You should never get a decision you cannot check against what is written here.

When a refund is issued, the access it paid for ends at the same time. Keeping the product and the money is not an option we can offer anyone.

Chargebacks

Please talk to us first. A chargeback is decided by your bank on paperwork rather than by a person who can actually help, it takes months, and it closes the account immediately while it runs.

We keep records of every station practiced, every mock started and every course code issued, and we provide them to the bank when a dispute is filed. Nobody wins that conversation. An email gets a real answer in a few days.

Your legal rights

Nothing here takes away rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law or the law where you live. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.

We may update this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you paid.
